Our Minister

Dr. Howard D. Bouldin, III, Th.D. Leesburg Church of Christ Pastoring Teacher

Dr. Bouldin’s entrance into ministry began in 1976 in Albany, Georgia under the tutoring of Andrew Jackson Wiggins, Jr. at the Church Street church of Christ, Blakely, Georgia. He remained and apprentice minister of the Church Street church of Christ in Blakely for 3 years. He then worked with two local congregations, Lee Street church of Christ, Americus, Georgia, (1 year) and West Adair church of Christ, Valdosta, (1 year). During his tenure in the United States Air Force he served congregations around the globe in the following capacities: Bible teaching, Youth Activities and church leadership.

Dr. Bouldin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Theological University of America (2007); a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Administration from Theological University of America (2009); a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Andersonville Theological Seminary (2024); a Th.D. in Theology from Atlantic Coastal Theological Seminary (2012); and an Honorary Doctorate in Divinity from Atlantic Coastal Theological Seminary (2019).

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and Southwest Georgia, Dr. Bouldin began developing his faith and leadership skills at a very young age. He traveled with and was mentored by several of God’s greatest Gospel preachers, including Humphrey Foust, Andrew Jackson Wiggins, Zebedee Moore, and Marion Holiday.

Other special mentors who shaped his ministry include W. F. Washington, Ivory James, Reginald Jones, and John D. Marshall.

Dr. Bouldin is married to Jackqueline Dumas of Cataula, Georgia. Together, they have four children — Tiffany and Howard (IV) — and five beloved grandchildren: Jayla, Elexis, Howard (V), Truman, and Harley.

Dr. Bouldin’s stated purpose in life is “to glorify God and His Son Jesus Christ in the fulfillment of His mission on earth — to continue steadfastly in the Apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and in prayer — confidently awaiting the glorious appearing of our Great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” (HDB)

Why I choose to believe the Bible

The Bible is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses, who reported supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and claimed that

their writings were divine rather than human in origin.

-2 Peter 1:19-21

Our Mission

Our mission is to reach the lost for Christ, teaching them the fundamental principle of the salvation experience, then teaching them to observe all that Jesus has commanded, believing that in doing so, we will have His presence always, even until the end of the age.

In addition, we believe:

  • The Holy Bible is inspired of God and it is living, infallible and inerrant. Every word is pure and a shield to them that put their trust in him.
  • There is One God, One Worship, and He is only to be worshipped.
  • There is One Lord, One Authority and religious authority is derived from Him alone.
  • There is One Faith, and that One Faith is the One Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • There is only one baptism today, one action, and that action is complete burial in water for the remission of past sins. An immersion, submersion and emergence
  • There is one body, the Church over which Christ is the absolute head.
  • There is one spirit, one mind or disposition to possess the members of the one body.
  • The gospel is God's power to save and all who do not believe and obey the one gospel will not be saved.
  • There is a final judgement where all humanity will be judged according to their works.
  • There is a heaven and a hell. Both are prepared places, heaven for the obedient and hell for the disobedient
Who We Are

We are a congregation of believers who remain firmly within the boundaries of the Scriptures — the Word of God — without deviation. We speak where the Bible speaks and are silent where the Bible is silent. We believe the Scriptures are the sole authority from God and that no human addition is acceptable.

Our Purpose

To do what Christ intended the local church to do — nothing more and nothing less. We strive to serve God and to help one another do the same. We evangelize by teaching lost souls about salvation in Jesus Christ. We assemble weekly to worship God collectively, and in these gatherings, we encourage one another spiritually.

Our Focus is Spiritual

We exist to do what Christ intended the local church to do — nothing more and nothing less. We strive to serve God and to help one another do the same. We evangelize by teaching lost souls about salvation in Jesus Christ. We assemble weekly to worship God collectively, and in these gatherings, we encourage one another spiritually.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
